is to repeat oneself. BUT. this gem from the Daily Mirror takes the biscuit.
The Mirror lazily repeats one of Labour's attempts to 'smear' Edward Timpson, the Conservative candidate in Crewe & Nantwich. Labour's main tactic has been to attack Timpson for allegedly being a 'toff'; one claim being that repeated by the Mirror - that some of his supporters were spotted driving a Bentley. The Bentley factory being located in, er, Crewe.
Tamsin Dunwoody, the Labour candidate, has described Timpson as 'some rich Tory kid who probably hasn't even been to Crewe station'. Ms Dunwoody has undoubtedly been to Crewe station - it is a long journey from her home in Wales, after all.
According to today's Sunday Express, the Crewe & Nantwich Labour Party has been told to bin the campaign because the comrades in London are finding it embarrassing.
